Introducing Doran-doran

Introducing Doran-doran

On the ground floor of doran, you will find curated layers of daily rituals—from hand-crafted ceramics, glass, wood, and textiles to thoughtful stationery and living objects. But if you follow the light down to our basement space, you will enter doran-doran (도란도란).

In Korean, ‘doran-doran’ is a beautiful, onomatopoeic word that describes the warm, gentle sound of close friends sitting together and whispering cozy conversations. It embodies the murmurs of a shared moment, the clinking of tea cups, and the soft rustle of craft materials.

We named our workshop space doran-doran because we wanted to create more than just a classroom. We envisioned a sanctuary in the heart of London where people can slow down, connect through touch and taste, and share intimate stories over Korean crafts and culture.

Our upcoming seasonal workshops will feature:

  • Bojagi wrapping (The art of traditional Korean fabric wrapping)

  • Traditional drink making (Crafting Korean heritage brews)

  • Kimchi making (An interactive culinary ritual)

  • Craft circles (Gatherings for makers and collectors)

We invite you to step downstairs, find your seat, and join the conversation.
